Clinical observation on the treatment of acute gouty arthritis(damp heat accumulation syndrome)with modified wuwei disinfection drink

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of modified wuwei disinfection drink in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis dampness heat accumulation syndrome(AGA).Methods:All 120 AGA patients from January 2022 to June 2023 were divided into control group,observation group and combination group using a random number table method,with 40 patients in each group.The control group was treated with etoposide,the observation group was trea-ted with modified wuwei disinfection drink,and the combined group was treated with etoposide+modified wuwei disin-fection drink.All three groups were treated continuously for 14 days.The clinical efficacy,laboratory indexes,TCM syndrome score,arthralgia index and adverse reactions were compared among the three groups.Results:The total effec-tive rate of the combined group was higher than that of the control group and observation group,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),and tumor necrosis factor after combined therapy α(TNF-α),uric acid,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,and joint swelling index of combined group were lower than control group,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of Western medicine treatment,the combination of modified wuwei disin-fection drink is more effective in treating patients with AGA,which can effectively reduce inflammatory factors and uric acid levels,alleviate joint swelling and pain,fully demonstrate the advantages of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment.In addition,traditional Chinese medicine treatment has the advantage of small toxic side effects,which can make up for the shortcomings of Western medicine with many side effects,making it easier for pa-tients to accept.
