Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of emotional release therapy(EFT)combined with low glycemic index diet on mental resilience and blood glucose in patients with diabetes mellitus(DM).Methods:A total of 80 DM patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according to ran-dom number table method:control group(n=40)and observation group(n=40).Both groups received routine care.Based on this, the control group received low-glycemic index dietary care, while the observation group received EFT combined low-glycemic index dietary care. The intervention lasted 2 weeks. Before intervention and 2 weeks after in-tervention,blood glucose indexes(fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG),psychological status[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)]and psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)of the two groups were compared. Results:After 2 weeks of intervention, the levels of FBG and 2 h PG in both groups decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of intervention,SAS and SDS scores decreased in both groups, while CD-RISC scores increased, and the change was more obvious in the observation group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:EFT combined with low glycemic index diet can reduce blood glucose level, relieve negative emotion and improve mental resilience in DM patients.
