Analysis of clinical effect of nourishing Yin and purging fire on functional ovarian cyst in girls

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of nourishing yin and expelling fire on functional ovarian cyst in girls.Methods:A total of 40 children with ovarian cyst admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as subjects.All children were treated with traditional Chinese medicine for nourishing Yin and purging fire for 3 months.The developmental status(height,weight,bone age,tanner stage of breast development),sex hor-mone levels,uterine and ovarian volumes,ovarian cyst volume and adverse reactions were compared before treatment and 3 months after treatment.Results:There was no significant difference in height,weight and bone age before and af-ter treatment(P＞0.05).Tanner stage of breast development after treatment was significantly improved compared with that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of lutropin Alfa(LH),follitropin beta(FSH)and estradiol(E2)were lower than before treatment,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the uterine size,ovarian volume and ovarian cyst volume were decreased compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).No serious adverse re-actions were observed.Conclusion:The effect of nourishing yin and purging fire on functional ovarian cyst in girls is better.It can adjust E2 level,inhibit early sexual development of the body,and facilitate the reduction of ovarian cyst.
