Clinical observation of coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E combined with huangjingzanyu capsule in the treatment of asospermia

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical effect of coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E combined with Huangjingzanyu capsule in the treatment of asthenospermia.Methods:Patients with asthenospermia who first visited and received treat-ment in hospital from January 2022 to September 2022(diagnosed as kidney deficiency and essence deficiency with dampness-heat type)were taken as the research objects.A randomized controlled clinical study was conducted to ran-domly divide 90 enrolled patients into 3 groups,with 30 cases in each group.The course of treatment was 3 months.Control group 1(group A)was given coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E therapy,control group 2(group B)was given hun-gjingzanyu capsule,observation group(Group C)was given huangjingzanyu capsule and coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E.The pregnant status of the spouses was followed up 6 months after treatment.The sperm quality[sperm concentration,motility(PR％),normal morphology rate,DNA fragment rate(DFI)and reactive oxygen species(ROS)content in se-men]and clinical pregnancy rate,markedly effective rate and effective rate of patients'spouses were compared among the three groups.Results:There was no significant difference in semen quality between the three groups before and after treatment(P＞0.05).In Group A,the sperm motility and the percentage of normal morphology after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment(P＜0.05),but the sperm concentration after treatment was not signif-icantly different from those before treatment(P＞0.05).There were no significant differences in sperm concentration,sperm motility and normal morphology between before and after treatment in Group B(P＞0.05).In Group C,the sperm motility after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment(P＜0.05),but the sperm concentra-tion and the percentage of normal morphology after treatment were not significantly different from that before treat-ment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the rate of sperm DNA fragments and the amount of ROS production in seminal plasma were significantly lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in clinical pregnancy rate,marked effective rate and total effective rate among the three groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The thera peutic effect of the combined treatment group was similar to that of coenzyme Q 1 0 and vitamin E groups,and was slightly better than that of Huangjingzanyu capsule group.Whether the combination treatment group is better than the coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E groups needs to be expanded sample size for further study.
