Abstract:Objective:To report the clinical and imaging features of 3 cases of T-lymphoblastic lymphoma in chil-dren with pleural effusion,so as to improve the understanding and diagnosis efficiency of this disease. Methods:The clinical data of 3 children with T lymphoblastic lymphoma were reviewed and the literature was summarized. Results:The 3 cases were treated in the respiratory department due to dyspnea without fever.Chest radiographs showed a large amount of pleural effusion, and the inflammatory indicators were normal.Later, enhanced chest CT was performed,sug-gesting a high possibility of malignant mass in the anterior mediastinum.Biopsy of mediastinal mass was performed and pathologically confirmed as T lymphoblastic lymphoma.Conclusio:T lymphoblastic lymphoma most frequently invades mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes, and may cause pleural effusion when the lesion invades pleura. For children with pleural effusion of unknown cause, the possibility of mediastinal lymphoma should be highly vigilant when the inflam-matory indicators are normal, and it is recommended to perform enhanced CT examination directly to avoid misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.
