Abstract:Objective:To analyze the risk factors of death in patients with sepsis, providing reference for improve-ment the prognosis of septic patients. Methods:A total of 258 consecutive patients with a confirmed diagnosis of sepsis from February 2020 to February 2021 were hospitalized to the Anning First People's Hospital, the date of the septic pa-tients were analyzed retrospectively.According to the clinical outcome, the 258 patients with sepsis were into two groups:death group(84 cases)and survival group(174 cases). The risk factors affecting the death of patients with sepsis were screened by univariate analysis and binary logistic regression model. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the value of risk factors in predicting mortality. Results:Univariate analysis showed there were statistically significant differences in age, pulmonary infection, history of hospitalization and use of antibiotics in recent one year, septic shock, serum lactic acid concentration, procalcitonin(PCT)level,qSOFA score and sequential organ failure(SOFA)score between the survival group and Death Group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, pulmonary infection, history of hospitalization and use of antibiotics in recent one year, septic shock, serum lactic acid concentration,PCT level,qSOFA score and SOFA score were risk factors for sepsis-associated death(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of SOFA score, blood lactate concentra-tion,qSOFA score, septic shock for predicting mortality in patients with sepsis were 0.921,0.903,0.885 and 0.762,re-spectively.Conclusion:Age,pulmonary infection, history of hospitalization and antibiotic use in the past 1 year, septic shock, serum lactic acid concentration, procalcitonin level,qSOFA score and SOFA score were the risk factors of death in patients with sepsis.Among them,SOFA score, blood lactic acid concentration,qSOFA score, septic shock may have better predictive value for mortality in patients with sepsis.
