Correlation analysis of serum uric acid level with urinary protein and renal dysfunction in adult physi-cal examination population

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the correlation of serum uric acid(SUA)level with urine protein and renal dys-function in an adult health check-up population. Methods:From March 2019 to December 2022,1 528 adults who un-derwent physical examination in hospital were selected.According to the presence or absence of renal dysfunction, they were divided into renal dysfunction group and non-renal dysfunction group. The clinical data,SUA,positive urine pro-tein,and glomerular filtration rate(GFR)were compared between the two groups.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the risk factors of renal dysfunction.Spearman method was used to analyze the correlation between SUA lev-el and positive urine protein. Results:The age, proportion of diabetes,SUA,and positive rate of urine protein in the re-nal dysfunction group were significantly higher than those in the non-renal dysfunction group(P<0.05).Logistic re-gression analysis showed that age, diabetes and SUA were the main risk factors for renal dysfunction(P<0.05).SUA level was positively correlated with positive urine protein(P<0.05).Conclusion:SUA is a risk factor for renal dys-function in adult health check-up population, and is closely related to positive urine protein.
