Abstract:Objective:To investigate the distribution of macrophage subgroups in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis. Methods:Eighty patients with endometriosis (EM) from May 2014 to May 2018 were enrolled in the study group.73 patients with uterine fibroids who underwent surgery were selected as the control group. The two groups of endometrial tissues were collected and analyzed by immunohistochemistry. The number of CD68 and CD163 positive cells in the two groups was compared. Results:The number of eutopic and ectopic CD68 and CD163 positive cells in the endometrium of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group in the early, middle and late stages of proliferation and secretion (P<0.05).Conclusion:Macrophage subpopulations are abnormally distributed in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of EM patients.
