Analysis of the constituent ratio of urogenital malignancies for 9 years in a single-center, single-city

Abstract:Objective: To explore the trend of constituent ratio of urogenital malignancies in the first hospital of Shanxi Medical University, and measures the medical technology level of the hospital, optimize the configuration of medical and health resources and provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of urogenital malignancy in the future. Methods: To collect cases of urogenital malignancies of Tai Yuan resident population in the first hospital of Shanxi Medical University from 2008 to 2016, and establish Excel database for retrospective analysis. Results: The number of hospitalized patients with urogenital malignancies were on the rise, and the patients were mostly elderly. Except for the malignancies of male reproductive system, there were 675 males and 289 females in the urological malignancies, and the ratio of males and females was 2. 34∶ 1. In the three periods, the malignancies of top three were bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer. From the first period to the third period, the constituent ratio of bladder cancer increased from 38. 22% to 31. 91%, and the constituent ratio of kidney cancer rose to 27. 30% from 31. 21%; In the age group 66 and older, the constituent ratio of prostate cancer increased from31. 40% to 38. 44%. Conclusion: the constituent ratio of renal cancer has a tendency to go beyond bladder cancer, and the constituent ratio of prostate cancer in elderly patients rose to the top-one.
