Abstract:Objective: To investigate the efficacy of the injection of lidocaine and meprednisone into tympanum plus drug combination for acute subjectivity tinnitus. Methods: A total of 60 patients (seventy-six ears) with acute subjectivity tinnitus who received treatment in hospital from October in 2015 to June in 2016 were divided into trial group and control group, with30 patients in each group. Trial group (thirty-nine ears) was treated with injection of lidocaine and meprednisone into tympanum plus mecobalamine and ginkgo leaf tablets. Patients (thirty-seven ears) in control group merely took mecobalamine and ginkgo leaf tablets. The intervention lasted for 1 month for both groups. The treatment effect of two groups were evaluated at 1, 3 month, also including adverse reactions. Results: All the treatment and follow-up were completed in these 60 cases (76 ears). At one-month time point, there was significant difference between two groups in the efficacy of unilateral acute subjectivity tinnitus treatment (χ2= 13. 046, P < 0. 01). At three-month time point, ere was also significant difference between two groups in the efficacy of unilateral acute subjectivity tinnitus treatment (χ2= 8. 104, P < 0. 01). The two groups were not significantly different in the incidence of adverse reactions (χ2= 1. 667, P = 0. 197). Conclusion: Injection of lidocaine and meprednisone into tympanum plus drug combination for acute subjectivity tinnitus can significantly improve the clinical efficacy for acute subjectivity tinnitus with good safety, and is also obviously better than the control group only taking mecobalamine and ginkgo leaf tablets.
