The clinical value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the clinical value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis,in order to provide imaging evidence for clinical treatment. Methods:From January 2013 to 2015 in hospital and received treatment with a-cute appendicitis patients with a total of 80 cases,retrospective analysis of the clinical data,all patients underwent ultrasound examination,to analyze the examination results and pathology. Results:In 80 cases with pathological display,78 cases of pa-tients with acute appendicitis,simple acute(23 cases),acute suppurative(42 cases),gangrene and perforation appendicitis (13 cases),2 patients misdiagnosed(including 1 case of mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix,another case of sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma local invasion)and ultrasound diagnosis with rate of 97. 5%. Acute appendicitis,acute purulent appendicitis, pure gangrenous and perforated appendicitis patients were obvious characteristics. Conclusion:For acute appendicitis patients underwent ultrasonography can on patients with appendix and surrounding tissues of careful observation,to early diagnosis of patients and has a certain role in diagnosis,ultrasonography of acute appendicitis has important value,is a kind of accurate and effective diagnostic methods.
