The application of vacuum sealing drainage for wound bed preparation of diabetes foot

Abstract：Objective:To study the application experience of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)for wound bed preparation of diabetes foot. Methods:A total of 32 diabetes foot patients were treated by VSD from June 2012 to February 2015. Results:After 14 ~ 21 days of VSD treatment,34 extremities′ wound bed were prepared for operation including skin graft,flap graft,and artifi-cial dermis graft,but 5 wound became worse. After lower limb artery balloon dilatation or stent placement,they became better a-gain. Wound bleeding occured in 2 patient and drainage fluid backflowed in 1 patient during VSD treatment. 1 patient dis-charged without medical advice. 1 patient died of digestive tract bleeding,and 1 patient died of cerebral infarction. Conclu-sions:VSD was recommended to used in diabetes foot wound bed preparation.
