Abstract:Objective:To investigate risk factors and treatment associated broad ligament and/ or retroperitoneal hemato-ma. Methods:To retrospectively analyze clinical data of ligament and/ or retroperitoneal hematoma and 11 cases were enrolled from November 1 in 2009 to October 31 in 2015. Results:Among three patients with retroperitoneal hematoma after vaginal de-livery,all patients were urgent delivery and two patients(66. 7% )were fetal macrosomia. Eight cases with broad ligament and/ or retroperitoneal hematoma were formed after cesarean section and including 5 cases(62. 5% )whose height was under 160 cm,3 cases(37. 5% )who were scar uterus,3 cases(37. 5% )with pregnant complication,2 cases(25. 0% )who received cesarean section in the second stage of labor. Among 11 patients,6 cases(54. 5% )were performed interventional pelvic arteri-al embolization,4 cases(36. 4% )received urgent surgery including internal iliac artery ligation and/ or hysterectomy and 1case was conservative treatment. All patients were successful. Conclusion:Urgent delivery and fetal macrosomia are probably risk factors associated hematoma after vaginal delivery. Height(under 160 cm),scar uterus, pregnant complication and cesarean section in second stage of labor maybe are risk factors on broad ligament and/ or retroperitoneal hematoma after cesarean sec-tion. Interventional pelvic arterial embolization and urgent surgery internal iliac artery ligation are similar in treatment. But ur-gent surgery is difficult in technology. So we suggest using interventional treatment in hospital equipped interventional technolo-gy.
