Abstract:Objective:To assess the effects and postoperative complications between tissue selecting therapy stapler(TST) and procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH). Methods:All 306 patients with severe internal hemorrhoids randomly allo-cated into observation group(TST group)and control group(PPH group). Clinical efficacy, operation time, average length of stay, postoperative urinary retention, anal pain, bleeding, anal stenosis and postoperative anastomotic complications in two groups were compared. Results:The surgery time, hospital stay and cure rate of both group showed no significant difference(P﹥ 0. 05),while the post operative complications were better in TST group, compared with the PPH group(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclu-sion:TST for severe internal hemorrhoidsis a satisfactory technique for more rapid recovery, lower complication ratesand higher operation security.
