Discuss of antimicrobial applications in general surgery department

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the application of antimicrobial drugs for preoperative patients in the general surgery de-partment in our hospital and make objective evaluation. Methods:Make statistic analysis of the antimicrobial drug application in preoperative period from the 320 general surgical operation cases randomly drawn during the period form January to February in 2015. Results:Antimicrobial drugs were used by all patients in preoperative period. Cephalosporins was the most commonly used,which 72. 8% patients used in less than 2 h before surgery,22. 2% patients used more than 2 h and 5. 0% patients did not use. Antimicrobial drugs were used for comparatively longer period after surgery. Conclusion:Regulation for antimicrobial drug application in preoperative period should be made to strengthen the rational use of drugs by clinical doctors. The supervi-sion of drug administrative department should be reinforced.
