Clinical comparative observation on red - blue light in combination with isotretinoin in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of red - blue light in combination with isotretinoin in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris. Methods:All 60 cases with moderate to severe acne vulgaris were divided into two groups randomly,treatment group(30 cases)with red - blue light combination with isotretinoin treatment,the control group (30 cases)alone isotretinoin treatment. Resulus:The effective rate in two groups was compared. Results:The effective rate of the treatment group was 8 6 . 7 % ,that of the control group was 7 0 . 0 % ,and there were significant differences between them (P ﹤ 0. 05). Severe adverse effect which might cause termination of the treatment was not seen in two group. Conclusion:Red- blue light in combination with isotretinoin in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris has a significant clinical effect and high safety.
