Abstract:Objective:To observe efficacy evaluation and safety analysis of the use of oral hypoglycemic drugs for the treatment of poor control of blood sugar in type 2 diabetes patients with initializing basal insulin treatment. To better guide clin-ical diabetes treatment. Methods:Selection of oral hypoglycemic drugs poor control blood sugar, and agreed to begin to accept basal insulin treatment of 102 patients with type 2 diabetes, interview all subjects for the three month and the six month, visits included situation of medication,Blood glucose self - monitoring and adverse reaction, testing glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c)and fasting plasma glucose(FPG). Results:Included in the study subjects were 102 cases,100 cases completed 6 months' follow - up,2cace were lost. After Basal insulin treatment six months HbA1c and FPG was decline, differences are sta-tistically significant,HbA1c decreased and HbA1c,FPG before treatment were positively correlated. After treatment HbA1c standards are 23 cases(23. 0% ),HbA1c descend range - 1. 5% ~ 4. 0% ,The effective rate of therapy was 61. 0% . 3 cases have 5 times of daily sympotomatic hypoglycemia,Symptoms remission after eating sugary foods. Conclusion:Initial insulin ther-apy decrease level of HbA1c and FPG effectively in oral hypoglycemic drugs poor control blood sugar with type 2 diabetes, but the time of patients initializing basal insulin was late, and dose of basal insulin changed less,we don't have good control of HbA1c. The use of oral hypoglycemic drugs for the treatment of poor control of blood sugar in type 2 diabetes patients should initiate standard use basal insulin early.
