The clinical study on metfomin intervention in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical effect of metfomin intervention in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabe-tes mellitus and cerebral infarction. Methods:All 186 hospitalized cases with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction from July in 2013 to December in 2015 randomly divided into metfomin intervention group and control group. The patients of control group were given diet,exercise and insulin,aspirin,improve the brain blood flow,intervention group on the basis of con-trol group therapy combined with metformin. 24 weeks were determined before and after treatment in patients with the change of weight(BW),body mass index(BMI),fasting blood - glucose(FBG),2 - hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPBG),hemoglo-bin A1c(HbA1c),systolic pressure(SBP)/ diastolic pressure(DBP),triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL - C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL - C),homocysteine(HCY),high - sensitivity C- reactive protein(hs - CRP),inteima - media thicknes(IMT). Results:In the two groups after treatment in patients with re-duced BW,BMI,FBG,2hPBG,HbA1c,SBP/ DBP,TC,TG,LDL - C,hs - CRP,IMT,intervention group therpy effect is better than the control group. In the two groups after treatment in patients with reduced Hcy,two groups have no difference. Conclu-sion:A curative effect on the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction.
