Abstract:Objective:To explore the value of high speed spiral CT(MSCT)in diagnosis and treatment of zygomaticomax-illary complex fracture. Methods:From January 2013 to September 2014,7 patients of complex maxillofacial trauma were in-volved. All the patients were undergone spiral computed tomography(CT)by 16 line high speed spiral CT,and multiplanar re-construction images using standard 3D reconstruction protocol of multi planar reconstruction(VR). Then the initial surgery strategy was developed according to these 3D images. Results:The maxillofacial trauma was found in all patients,5 cases of zy-gomatic arch;7 cases of nasal bone, nasal septum and ethmoid sinus fracture, maxillary sinus wall, the wall of the orbit at two or more joint fracture;7 cases of maxillary lefort type I or type II fracture. Rigid internal fixation after exact replacement was the primary common treatment. Conclusion:For midfacial complex fracture,3D CT imaging can display the fracture location,frac-ture line and the degree of the fracture fragmentation shift. The technology is an important guideline to the plan and of surgery.
