Abstract:Objective:Toinvestigatethedistributionofpathogenicbacteriaanddrugsensitivityoftheuncommonnonfer-menting bacilli in neonatal ward. Methods:A retrospective analysis was made on the children with positive neonatal blood cul-ture in Yan’an hospital of Kunming from June 2012 to October 2013. Results:During the period of study,49 cases of the blood culture isolates are uncommon nonfermenting bacilli, including 14 strains of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia,13 strains of Burk-holderia gladioli,11 strains of Achromobacter xylosoxidans,6 strains of Burkholder cepacia, and 5 strains of Acinetobacter <br> lwoffii. The uncommon nonfermenting bacilli still maintain a high sensitivity of 80% ~100% to minocycline, levofloxacin,as well as sulfamethoxazole compound. For Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, there is few selection of antibiotics because of its natural antimicrobial resistance to the aminoglycosides as well as theβ-lactams. For the other uncommon non fermentative bacteria, the sensitivity to Containing enzymes of antimicrobial agents such as piperacillin/tazobactam,cefoperazone/sulbactam keeps>80%,while their sensitivity to other antibiotics varies a lot from 0 to 100%. Conclusion:The aforesaid uncommon nonferment-ing bacilli are conditional pathogenic ones, which exist widely in nature, and often colonize in the human skin surface as well as the cavity mucosa opened to the outside. With the increase pressure of ICU antibiotics selection, the detection rate of resistant strains is high and the treatment becomes more difficult. When clinical detection finds uncommon nonfermenting bacilli, the pri-mary work is to determine the separative product being colonization or infection, after that the antibiotics can be rationally ap-plied.
