Improving effect of butylphthalide for patients with vascular cognitive impairment

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of butylphthalide for patients with vascular cognitive impairment. Methods:Eighty patients with vascular cognitive impairment were randomly divided into the control group(40 cases)and the butylphthalide group(40 cases). The cognition were detected and by mini-mental state examination( MMSE)and activityof dailyliving scale( ADL)before and in twelve weeks after treatment. Results:The MMSE,ADL scores in butylphthalide group were more significantly improved than before treatment and control group(P﹤0. 01). Conclusion:Butylphthalide can improve the cognition of patients with mild and moderate vascular cognitive impairment.
