Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of fractional flow reserve(FFR)in the patients with Multiple - coro-nary lesions for percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Methods:All 100 patients with multiple - coronary artery disease were randomly assigned to undergo PCI with drug - eluting stents implantation according to coronary angiography(CAG)alone or being combined with FFR. Patients in CAG - guided group accepted stent implantation for all lesions, while those in FFR -guided PCI accepted stent implantation for the lesions which the value of FFR was 0. 80 or less. The primary clinical end point was the major adverse cardiac event(MACE)including death rate, nonfatal myocardial infarction and(or)revascularization for 12 months. Result:The mean lesion numbers were(2. 79 ± 0. 73)in CAG - guided group and(2. 83 ± 0. 56)in FFR -guided group, there was no significient difference(P ﹥ 0. 05). The stent numbers in a patient was(2. 76 ± 0. 78)and(1. 45 ± 1. 07),respectively,there was no significient difference(P ﹤ 0. 001). The 12 - months incidence of MACE was 20% in CAG -guided group and 6% in FFR - guided group, there was no significient difference(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusions:Routine FFR -guided PCI in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease significantly reduces the stent numbers and the 12 - months in-cidence of MACE.
