Application of pit and fissure caries for prevetion of caries in children

Abstract：Objective:Tostudytheapplicationeffectoffpitandfissurecariesforprevetionofcariesinchildren.Meth-ods:Two hundred cases(438 teeth)were divided into observation group and control group,100 cases in each group. The control group did not take any measures;observation group underwent pit and fissure,to compare the control effect of caries in children. Results:The review sealant retention rates of children in observation group in six months,one year and two years were 85. 5%, 75. 9%,63. 6%. The incidence rate of caries in six months,one year and two years were compared in two groups,χ2 =7. 162 6, 5. 664 1,15. 810 9. The amount of decayed tooth in one year and two years were compared in two groups,t=49. 012 7,43. 762 7. The difference was statistically significant(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion:The control effect of pit and fissure for caries is exact,opera-tion is simple,effectively reduce the incidence of dental caries in children,no significant adverse reactions.
