Abstract:Objective:The purpose of this researchis to study the different change of levels in Follistatin-like1(FSTL-1 )between acute myocardial infarction( AMI)patients and healthy people in the control group;as well as its association with Left Ventricle Remodeling after the Acute Myocardial Infarction. Methods:Forty-eight AMI patients and 48 healthy people in the control group were selected. AMI group were treated within 72 hours right after onset and peripheral blood were collected to test FSTL-1 level by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay serum. Echocardiography was utilized toto determine leftatrium di-mension,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, and cardiac ejection fraction. Through statistical analysis,FSTL-1 expression levels between the two groups and their correlation with left ventricular remodeling were analyzed. Results:FSTL-1 level of AMI group was significantly higher than he healthy control group(P<0. 05);Positive correlation was found between FSTL-1 and left atrium dimension(r=0. 54,P<0. 05),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(r=0. 58,P<0. 05)whereas nega-tive correlation withejection fraction(r= -0. 64,P<0. 05). And its correlation with gender, age, smoking or not, drinking or not, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes was not found, but it positively correlated with brain natriuretic peptide. Conclu-sion:AMI patients were found with higher FSTL-1 levelsand were positively correlated with left ventricular remodeling.
