Abstract：Objective:To discuss pulmonary malignant tumor patients with pleural effusion with cell block preparation and pathological diagnosis value. Methods:retrospectively analyzed in 80 cases of pleural effusion patients,pleural effusion samples after 4 ℃ refrigerated overnight,centrifugal precipitation cell block were collected for paraffin embedding,HE staining immuno-histochemical staining diagnosis or further diagnostic pathology. Results:Specimens of 80 cases of pleural effusion suspicious checked out in 25 cases of malignant tumor cell block methods 21 cases of malignant tumors(84. 0% ),pleural effusion sam-ples detected with direct smear method 9 cases of malignant tumor,accounting for 36. 0% ,cell block method detection rate was significantly higher than that of direct smear method. Conclusion:Hydrothorax specimens using the cell block method can im-prove the detection rate,has higher application value.
