The clinical characteristics of upper gastrointestinal multiple primary cancer in Shanxi Province

Abstract：Objective:By analyzing the clinical pathology data of the 34 patients with upper gastrointestinal multiple pri-mary cancer in Shanxi cancer hospital,the incidence regularity,diagnosis strategies and prognostic factors was studied. Meth-ods:By collecting the patients and conducting the data,the clinical features with upper gastrointestinal multiple primary cancer in Shanxi was discussed. Results:In a total of 1 087 patients with digestive cancers,34 of 1 087(3. 13% )had double primary cancers,and the leading cancer sites were esophagus,cardia and gastric parts. Conclusion:It was found that the upper gastroin-testinal double primary cancer in Shanxi has obvious geographical concentration distribution,and the treatment should be based on radical surgery,combined with the radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
