Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of closed suction(VSD)technology in deep burn wounds. Meth-ods:30 cases of depth electrical burn wound, without bone exposed, froM January 2009 to May 2014 in Ganzhou City Hospital, were treated with closed suction technology ﹢ free skin graft(experiMent group). Other 30 cases of deep electrical burn wounds were treated with clear(extended)Chong ﹢ surgical dressing ﹢ free skin graft(control group). To coMpare the nuMber of op-erations,wound infection, skin graft survival and the average length of hospital stay between the groups above Mentioned. The data were analyzed by SPSS 14. 0 statistical software. Results:The operative tiMes,the wound infection, the skin graft survival and the average hospital stay was 2. 4 ± 0. 55,3. 3% ,(95 ± 5)% ,(32 ± 5)d respectively, corresponding 3. 5 ± 0. 92,30% , (67 ± 10)% ,(46 ± 11)d in control group respectively. The differences were statistically significant(P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion:The use of closed suction depth treatMent of electrical burns can reduce the nuMber of surgical patients, the wound infection, the hospital stays, the patient's pain and the treatMent costs.
