Therapeutic effect observation of Saccharomyces boulardii adjunctive treatment for neonatal hyper-bilirubinemia

Abstract：Objective:To observe and analyze the therapeutic effect of saccharoMyces boulardii adjunctive treatMent for neonatal hyperbilirubineMia. Methods:60 cases with neonatal hyperbilirubineMia treated in our departMent froM January 2011 to February 2013 were divided into control and observation groups randoMly. Children of control group were treated with the conventional Methods for subsiding jaundice. The observation group was given the conventional and saccharoMyces boulardii coMbination treatMent. The decreased seruM total bilirubin levels were detected after treatMent and the role of SaccharoMyces boulardii in the treatMent of neonatal hyperbilirubineMia was analyzed. Results:CoMpared to control group and observation group,the observation group in the reduction of tiMe was fast and reduction of bilirubin levels was higher than the control group. Conclusion:SaccharoMyces boulardii plays an adjunctive role in the decrease of bilirubin levels in the treatMent of neo-natal hyperbilirubineMia and the duration of hospitalization will be short when the children are treated with saccharoMyces bou-lardii. The therapeutic Method of saccharoMyces boulardii in treatMent of neonatal hyperbilirubineMia can be widely applied.
