Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEp)in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical diseases. Methods:Two hundred and four female patients who underwent loop electrosurgical excision pro-cedure(LEEp)were divided into the observation group and the control group,102 cases of the observation group and 102 cases of the control group. In the observation group, each patient underwent 15 ~ 20 mm cervical resection;in the control group, each patient underwent 21 ~ 25 mm cervical resection. The results of operation and follow up were compared between two groups. Results:Intraoperative blood loss, grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and cure rate in the both groups were very near(P > 0. 05). At one month and three months postoperatively,a significant improvement of cervical repair was found in the observation group, when compared with the control group(P < 0. 05). Cervical stenosis in observation group was also signifi-cantly milder than that in control group(P < 0. 05). At one year postoperatively, cervical laceration and cervical incompetence in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The depth of cervical resection in LEEp can have a great impact on cervical repair, cervical stenosis, cervical laceration and cervical incompetence.
