Bortezomib in combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma

Abstract：Toinvestigatetheefficacyandsafetyofbortezomibcombinedwithdexamethasoneinthetreatment of patients with multiple myeloma. Methods:Sixteen patients were enrolled in bortezomib chenotherapy combind with dexam-ethasone( PD). According to the criteria of the European Cooperative Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation( EBMT),and the toxicity was graded according to National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events( NCICTCAE ) 3. 0. Results:Sixteen cases with multiple myeloma in 4 cases of complete respone(CR),6 cases of partial respone(PR),2 ca-ses of minor response(MR). The total effective rate was 75. 0%. The adverse reactions of patients occurred to some extent,but symptomatic treatment after remission. Conclusion:Bortezomib in combination with dexamethasone is a ideal therapeutic regi-men for MM,The adverse events are light and reversible.
