Clinical analysis and treatment of 15 cases with abdominal cocoon

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the clinic features,diagnosis and treatment for abdomin al cocoon. Methods:The clin-ical data of 15 cases with abdominal cocoon in hospital were collected from 1992 to 2012,which were analyzed retrospectively. Results:Forteen cases with intestinal obstruction symptoms were not healed treated by non - operative treatment,and received abdominal laparotomy,operations method including enterolysis and intestinal arrangement techniques,1 case received appen-dicectomy,postoperative effects were satisfaction. Conclusion:Abdominal cocoon is difficult to diagnose preopertively. Operation is usually adopted as the primary therapy,which is effective procedure in the treatment of the disease.
