The comparison of the efficacy of the polysaccharide iron complex capsules and ferrous sulfate tab-lets for the treatment of iron - deficiency anemia

Abstract：Objective:To observe clinical efficacy of polysaccharide iron complex capsules and ferrous sulfate tablets in the treatment of iron - deficiency anemia. Methods:From October 2012 to October 2013,totally 190 patients with iron - defi-ciency anemia who were diagnosed in our hospital were randomly divided two groups,each of 95 cases. The control group was treated with ferrous sulfate tablets,two tables each time,three times a day,the treatment group was treated with polysaccharide iron complex capsules,two capsules each time,once a day. After 14 weeks,the change of the indicators of blood routine and the clinical efficacy were observed before and after treatment. Results:After treatment,the erythrocyte indicators have improved in two groups,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0. 05),while the changes of white blood cell and platelet indexes were no obvious difference(P > 0. 05);The total efficiency of the treatment group after treatment was significantly differences (P < 0. 05). Conclusion:The effect of polysaecharide iron complex capsules on iron - deficiency anemia was superior to that of ferrous sulfate tablets,it was a safe and effective iron preparation.
