Application of BOPPPS teaching model based on artificial intelligence combined with scenario simulation teaching method in clinical practice of joint surgery intern nursing students

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application of BOPPPS teaching model based on artificial intelligence combined with scenario simulation teaching method in clinical practice of joint surgery intern nursing students.Methods:A total of 94 intern nursing students who rotated in joint surgery in two tertiary grade A hospitals from March 2023 to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into control group and test group by random number table method,47 students each.The control group was taught by using traditional mentoring program.The test group was taught by using BOPPPS teaching model based on ChatGPT and Doubao combined with situational simulation teaching method.The theoretical knowledge and practical operation ability,critical thinking,communication ability,self-learning ability,and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of intern nursing students were compared.Results:The scores of practical operation ability,critical thinking,communication ability,self-learning ability,and teaching satisfaction of the intern nursing students in the test group were all higher than those in the control group.There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of BOPPPS teaching model based on artificial intelligence combined with scenario simulation teaching method in clinical teaching of joint surgery intern nursing students could effectively improve their practical ability,communication ability,and self-learning ability,promote the formation of critical thinking,and enhance their satisfaction with clinical teaching.
