Abstract：This review summarized the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of skin tears(ST)among the elderly in care institutions,collated prevention and management strategies for skin tears from various countries,highlighted the research gaps in this area within Chinese elderly care institutions.And it aims to provide theoretical and practical guidance for developing a localized risk assessment and prevention management system.
