Abstract:Objective:To develop a digital Literacy Assessment Scale for Medical Staff and test its reliability and validity. Methods:The basic structure of the scale and the initial pool of items were determined based on the European Digital Competence Framework and literature review. The final scale was formed through item analysis and reliability and validity tests.A questionnaire survey was conducted among medical staff in various medical institutions in Guilin from September to December 2023 by using stratified sampling to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Results:The Digital Literacy Evaluation Scale for Medical Staff included information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, content creation and knowledge management, and privacy security and problem solving four dimensions,20 entries. The I-CVI of the scale ranged from 0.800 to 1.00.The S-CVI/UA was 0.800.The S-CVI/Ave was 0.960.Exploratory factor analysis extracted four male factors with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 75.717%.Validated factor analysis showed,χ2/ν=3.116,RMSEA=0.079,GFI=0.874,CFI=0.935,TLI=0.925,and IFI=0.935,indicating a satisfactory model fit.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.958.The Spearman-Brown split-half coefficient was 0.911.Conclusions:The Digital Literacy Evaluation Scale for Medical Staff constructed in this study has good reliability and could be used as a reliable tool to assess the level of digital literacy of medical staff in China.
