Application of the integrated goal management model of medical care and nursing in school-age children with asthma

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of the integrated goal management model of medical care and nursing in school-age children with asthma.Methods:By using the convenience sampling method,60 children with bronchial asthma admitted to the pediatrics department of First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from April to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects.And they were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with 30 cases in each.The control group adopted the conventional nursing mode.The observation group was intervened with the integrated medical and nursing targeted management plan.The intervention effects of the two groups of children were compared before the intervention and at 3 months and 6 months after the intervention by using the Childhood Asthma Control Test(C-ACT),the Asthma Children Self-Management Scale,and the pulmonary ventilation function test.Results:At 3 months and 6 months after the intervention,the scores of C-ACT and the Asthma Children Self-Management Scale,and the indicators of pulmonary ventilation function in the observation group were all better than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of the integrated goal management model of medical care and nursing in school-age children with asthma could effectively control asthma symptoms,enhance the disease management ability of the children,improve lung function.
