Application of mobile healthcare in postoperative speech function training for patients with oral cancer

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of mobile healthcare in the speech function training of patients after oral cancer surgery,and to evaluate the effect of this model in the speech function training of patients after oral cancer surgery,so as to provide reference for medical staff to remotely manage patients with speech function disorders after oral cancer surgery using convenient and effective mobile healthcare.Methods:A total of 83 patients with speech dysfunction after oral cancer surgery at the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from June 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research subjects,and randomly divided into observation group of 42 cases and control group of 41 cases.The patients of control group were given routine voice training and telephone follow-up after discharge.The patients of observation group were given mobile medical remote supervision and guidance on the basis of routine care.Follow-up was conducted on the 14th day,1 month and 3 month after the operation.The speech intelligibility test form and the Muyan evaluation system were used to record the speech intelligibility and consonant articulation.Results:One month and three month after the operation,the speech clarity scores and consonant accuracy rate of the observation group were both higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Speech function training for patients after oral cancer surgery could restore their speech function.Mobile medical remote supervision and management had a good effect on the recovery of speech function for patients after oral cancer surgery.
