Status quo of the digital and intelligent transformation concept of diabetes management among medical staff under the background of hierarchical medical treatment

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the status quo of medical staff's concept of digital and intelligent transformation in diabetes management under the background of hierarchical medical treatment,and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods:From October to November 2024,a total of 1 049 medical staff from 11 prefecture-level cities in Shanxi province were selected for a questionnaire survey.Results:Among the 1 049 medical staff,965(92.0%)people expressed understanding of the hierarchical medical treatment system,81.7%(857 people)had participated in the hierarchical medical treatment system,337(32.1%)people had participated in related digital and intelligent transformation projects for diabetes management,and 541(51.6%)people were familiar with and used digital tools.The influencing factors of medical staff's attitude towards digital tools to manage diabetes included educational level,occupation,professional field,level of medical institutions,understanding of the hierarchical medical treatment system,whether they have participated in hierarchical medical treatment,overall experience of participating in hierarchical medical treatment,the effect of the current hierarchical medical treatment system in diabetes management,participation in digital and intelligent transformation projects related to diabetes management,and whether they understand or digital management tools have been used to assist in diabetes management.Conclusions:We should further leverage the key role of medical staff in the digital and intelligent transformation of diabetes management.It was necessary to deepen the hierarchical medical system,promote the digital and intelligent management of diabetes,enhance the training of medical staff and patient education,strengthen the construction of primary and secondary medical institutions,and promote cross-departmental cooperation and resource sharing.
