Abstract:Objective:To analyze the differences in interdisciplinary innovation capability cultivation for medical postgraduates between China and the United States,to explore valuable experiences for reference, and to provide insights for deepening the reform of interdisciplinary innovation capability cultivation for medical postgraduates in China. Methods:Through literature and cluster analysis,591 Chinese and 173 English articles from databases were examined.CiteSpace was utilized for visual analysis. Results:Publication trends showed Chinese research shifted from lagging to sustained dominance, while United States publications started strong but plateaued.Thematic clustering revealed China's"scaling-institutionalization-strategization"model,emphasizing educational systems and standardized training. The United States adopted a"specialization-practicalization-collaboration"model,prioritizing clinical practice and continuous improvement. The themes of China and the United States both focused on three areas:education system and institutional construction, clinical practice and capacity development, and quality management and evaluation system. There were differences in specific clustering characteristics. Conclusions:The differences in interdisciplinary training models for medical graduate students between China and the United States were reflected not only in thematic distribution but also stemming from disparities in institutional contexts and developmental pathways.China should leverage the strengths of its domestic system while rationally incorporating United States experiences in practical integration and feedback mechanisms, and further explore training mechanisms through qualitative comparisons to systematically optimize the interdisciplinary innovation talent cultivation system.
