Summary of the best evidence for exercise intervention for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus

Abstract:Objective:To extract,synthesize,and integrate the evidence of exercise intervention for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus,and to provide evidence-based guidance for medical staff to implement exercise intervention.Methods:Guidelines,expert consensus,clinical decision-making,systematic reviews,evidence summaries,and recommended practices related to exercise intervention for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus on domestic and international guideline websites,professional association websites,and databases were searched.The retrieval period spanned from the establishment of the database to September 30,2024.Two researchers independently evaluated the quality of literature,evidence extraction,and integration.Results:Finally,a total of 15 articles were included,including 2 guidelines,10 systematic reviews,and 3 expert consensus papers.A total of 23 pieces of best evidences were integrated from four aspects:benefits and safety of exercise,pre-exercise assessment,exercise mode and intensity,and exercise management.Conclusions:This study summarized the exercise evidence of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.It suggests that medical staff should consider when applying the evidence,and personalized exercise plans should be developed based on the patient's exercise preferences and condition.
