Latent profile analysis of social anxiety in patients with stable schizophrenia and its influencing factors

Abstract：Objective:To explore the latent profiles of social anxiety and their influencing factors in patients with stable schizophrenia.Methods:A total of 336 patients with stable schizophrenia hospitalized in the psychiatric department of The Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province from June to November in 2024 were selected as the study subjects.General information questionnaires,the Social Anxiety Scale,and the Rejection Sensitivity Scale were used to investigate the patients.Latent profile analysis was employed to identify the categories of social anxiety in patients with stable schizophrenia.Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between social anxiety and rejection sensitivity in schizophrenia patients.Logistic regression analysis was applied to examine the influencing factors of the latent profiles of social anxiety in schizophrenia patients.Results:Social anxiety in patients with stable schizophrenia could be categorized into two groups:a low-level social anxiety group(222 cases,66.1%)and a high-level social anxiety group(114 cases,33.9%).Social anxiety was positively correlated with rejection sensitivity(r=0.398,P<0.01).Gender,disease onset,and rejection sensitivity were identified as influencing factors of the latent profiles of social anxiety in patients with stable schizophrenia(all P<0.05).Conclusions:Social anxiety in patients with stable schizophrenia exhibits population heterogeneity.Healthcare professionals should pay attention to the social anxiety characteristics of different patients and provide personalized guidance and nursing interventions based on the influencing factors to reduce rejection sensitivity and relieve overall social anxiety in patients.
