Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory on cancer-related fatigue and immune function in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:A total of 52 NSCLC patients from a tertiary grade A hospital were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=26)and an intervention group(n=26).The control group received routine care, while the intervention group received additional mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory. The Revised Piper Fatigue Scale(PFS-R)scores,peripheral blood T lymphocyte subset levels, and Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)scores were compared between the two groups before and after 12 weeks of intervention. Results:Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in cancer-related fatigue, immune function,or physical performance between the two groups(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention, the fatigue score in the intervention group was 3.5(3.0,5.0),which was significantly lower than that in the control group[5.0(4.0,6.0)];the levels of CD3⁺,CD4⁺,and CD4⁺/CD8⁺were higher, while CD8⁺ was lower in the intervention group compared to the control group;the KPS score in the intervention group was 90(90,90),significantly higher than that in the control group[80(70,90)].All differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Furthermore,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during the study period(P>0.05).Conclusions:Mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory could help alleviate cancer-related fatigue, improve immune function, and enhance physical performance in patients with NSCLC.
