Abstract：This study reviewed the mechanisms and research progress of music therapy for depression disorder.It was found that the influence of music therapy on the two core symptoms of depression,depression biomarkers and cognitive function may be the core mechanism of the effect of music therapy on depression.Combining the duration,frequency and types of music currently applied in music therapy,it provided basis for decision-making for current clinical applications.
