Status quo and influencing factors of fertility desires in women of reproductive age

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of fertility desires in women of reproductive age.Methods:A total of 2 316 women of reproductive age in Shanxi province were selected for study subjects from March to April 2024.A cross-sectional survey was conducted by questionnaire survey.Univariate analysis and Logistic regression were used to identify influencing factors of fertility desires in women of reproductive age.Results:Among the 2 316 women of reproductive age,718 women(31.00%)expressed fertility desires.The result of Logistic regression analysis showed that parity,history of abortion,fertility preferences of family members,internal medical conditions,gynecological diseases,symptoms such as postpartum urinary incontinence or uterine prolapse,labor analgesia,and postpartum rehabilitation training were influencing factors of fertility desires in women of reproductive age(P<0.05).Conclusions:Fertility desires in women of reproductive age were low.Pelvic floor dysfunction disorders negatively impact fertility desires in women of reproductive age.Targeted rehabilitation nursing interventions should be implemented to improve fertility desires in women of reproductive age.
