Abstract:Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel on amiodarone-induced phlebitis. Methods:A total of 60 healthy adult rabbits were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into blank control group and isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel group by using a random number table. Each group was further subdivided into 0-day,1-day,3-day,5-day,and 7-day subgroups(6 cases per subgroup). The blank control group was treated with blank hydrogel at the phlebitis injury site, while the isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel group was treated with isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel at the phlebitis injury site.Serum concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-α)and C-reflection protein(CRP)were measured before intervention(0-day subgroup)and on 1st day(1-day subgroup),3rd day(3-day subgroup),5th day(5-day subgroup),and 7th day(7-day subgroup)post-intervention.The severity of vascular inflammation was also evaluated. Results:The main effects among groups and time on serum concentrations of CRP and TNF-α in adult rabbits were statistically significant(both P<0.001),with an interaction effect between groups and time also being observed(P<0.05).On 5th day and 7th day post-intervention,the isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel group exhibited lower vascular inflammation severity compared to the blank control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Isoliquiritigenin-fullerene gel had better therapeutic effect against amiodarone-induced phlebitis.
