Status quo and risk factors of acute skin failure in sepsis patients in the ICU

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the status quo of acute skin failure in patients with sepsis in ICU and analyze its risk factors,so as to provide reference for medical staff to formulate preventive measures.Methods:A total of 254 patients with sepsis in the ICU of a tertiary grade A hospital in Dalian city from January 2023 to February 2024 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into case group and control group according to whether acute skin failure occurred.Single factor and Logistic regression analysis were used to screen the risk factors of acute skin failure in sepsis patients.Results:The incidence of acute skin failure occurred in sepsis patients was 35.04%.Peripheral artery disease,mechanical ventilation,vasoactive drugs,APACHEⅡ score,MAP,Lac were the influencing factors for acute skin failure in sepsis patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:The incidence of acute skin failure in sepsis patients is high and there are many risk factors.Medical staff should pay close attention to high-risk patients and take timely targeted intervention measures to reduce the incidence of acute skin failure in sepsis patients.
