Abstract:Objective:To explore the influence of continuous nursing on the self-management ability and blood uric acid level of discharged patients with gout. Methods:A total of 200 gout patients treated in the rheumatology and immunology department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Shanxi province from March 2023 to September 2024 were selected as the research subjects. All cases were randomly divided into control group and observation group,100 cases each.Patients in the control group received the conventional nursing model.Patients in the observation group received the continuous nursing intervention for gout based on the WeChat official account besides the conventional nursing. The self-management ability and blood uric acid level of the two groups of patients were compared before the intervention and at 3 months and 6 months after the intervention. Results:Two patients in the observation group and three patients in the control group were lost to follow-up.Eventually,98 patients in the observation group completed the study, and 97 patients in the control group completed the study. After the intervention, the time effect, intergroup effect and interaction effect of the self-management ability scores and blood uric acid level of the two groups of patients were statistically significant. Moreover,at 3 months and 6 months after the intervention, the self-management ability scores and blood uric acid level of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Continuous nursing for discharged gout patients was helpful to enhance their self-management ability, and to reduce blood uric acid levels.
