Abstract:Objective:To explore the driving forces for clinical intern nursing students'participation in multi-disciplinary team(MDT)teaching based on grounded theory and to construct a theoretical model. Methods:Using the procedural grounded theory,semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 intern nursing students. And data analysis was carried out through three-level coding and continuous comparison. Results:The constructed driving force model for intern nursing students'participation in MDT teaching included four main categories, namely the MDT teaching environment,MDT teaching cognition, personal factors, and social support,as well as 13 subcategories. The four main categories were regarded as the guarantee factor, core factor, subject factor, and key factor of the driving force respectively. Conclusions:In the process of carrying out MDT teaching clinically,it is recommended to focus on the core factors of teaching cognition, take the initiative to provide organizational support and ensure the teaching environment. At the same time, attention should be paid to the influence of family and social factors. And teaching should also be carried out in combination with individual characteristics.
