Sinicization of Questionnaire to Evaluate the Competency in Evidence-Based Practice of Registered Nurses and its reliability and validity test

Abstract：Objective:To translate the Questionnaire to Evaluate the Competency in Evidence-Based Practice of Registered Nurses(EBP-COQ-Prof)into Chinese version and test its reliability and validity among clinical nurses.Methods:After translating the EBP-COQ-Prof,consulting experts and conducting a pre-survey,the Chinese version of the EBP-COQ-Prof was formed.A total of 406 clinical nurses from tertiary grade A hospitals in Wuhan were surveyed to verify the reliability and validity of Chinese version of scale.Results:The content validity index at the item level of the Chinese version of EBP-COQ-Prof ranged from 0.800 to 1.000,and the content validity index at the scale level was 0.957.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors,the cumulative variance contribution rate was 70.802%.The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fitted well.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total scale was 0.980,and the split-half reliability was 0.947.Conclusions:The Chinese version of EBP-COQ-Prof scale has good reliability and validity.And it can be used as a reliable tool for evaluating the evidence-based nursing practice ability of clinical nurses in China.
