Study on satisfaction of nursing undergraduates with the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions from the perspective of professional certification

Abstract：Objective:From the perspective of professional certification,this study aims to explore the current situation of nursing undergraduates'satisfaction with the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and the possible heterogeneity among different student groups.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire on the evaluation of the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education for nursing undergraduates was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among 2,928 students from the first to the fourth year of the nursing major in 6 undergraduate institutions in Shanxi Province.Results:The satisfaction of nursing undergraduates with each item of the innovation and entrepreneurship competition exceeded 80%.Among them,the item with the highest satisfaction was"Teacher guidance helps to improve scientific research ability"(the satisfaction rate was 95.2%),and the item with the lowest satisfaction was that the competition project can achieve achievement transformation(the satisfaction rate was 80.6%).The results of univariate analysis showed that factors such as gender,whether having entrepreneurial practice,whether having entrepreneurial intention,whether relatives had entrepreneurial experience,the place of residence before the college entrance examination,the type of the university attended,the grade level,and class performance had an impact on nursing undergraduates'satisfaction with innovation and entrepreneurship competitions(P<0.05).Conclusions:Nursing undergraduates have a relatively high overall satisfaction with the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions,but there are differences among different groups.The integration of professionalism and innovation as well as achievement transformation still need to be strengthened during the implementation of the competitions.Universities should actively establish a scientific view of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions,build multi-level competition platforms,strengthen the integration of professionalism and innovation in competition projects and achievement transformation,and continuously give play to the educational function of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
